Accountant
Responsibilities & Context
-
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
-
Provide detailed financial reports to management and stakeholders.
-
Prepare financial forecasts and projections to guide strategic planning.
-
Develop, implement, and manage annual budgets monitor budget performance, and provide variance analysis.
-
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
-
Prepare for and coordinate external audits, including liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
-
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
-
Perform and oversee regular reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial data.
-
Resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
-
Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
-
Conduct regular reviews and updates of internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
-
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
-
Manage payroll accounting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
-
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Support long-term financial planning and strategy development advise on investment activities and provide financial analysis on potential opportunities.
-
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
-
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and performance.
-
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members meet their objectives.
-
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
-
Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial information systems.
-
Stay updated on new accounting technologies and best practices to improve processes.
-
Communicate financial results and insights to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
-
Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and initiatives.
Additional Requirements:
-
Age 26 to 32 years
-
Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
-
The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): VAT/ Customs Duty/ Income Tax, VAT & Tax Management, and VAT management experience in an ITES.
-
Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Excel.
-
Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights.
-
Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial information and collaborating with other departments.
-
Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
-
Experience in leading teams, mentoring junior staff, and managing accounting projects.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English & Bangla.

Educational Qualification:
-
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Accounting, Master of Commerce (M.Com) in Accounting, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information Systems.
